The TEX-BREIN consortium meeting took place on 26 March 2026 in Vila Nova de Famalicão, hosted by CITEVE and Portuguese Textile Cluster.

The meeting brought together project partners to review the overall progress of the project, assess ongoing activities, and coordinate upcoming tasks across all work packages.
Key Discussions
Project Status and Management (WP6)
The session opened with a general overview of the project, including progress against the timeline, financial status, key performance indicators, and planning of upcoming meetings.
Ecosystem Building (WP1)
Partners discussed the current state of communication with regional authorities and defined next steps to strengthen regional textile ecosystems.
Capacity Building (WP2)
Updates were presented on implemented and planned webinars, along with feedback from participants. The consortium also reviewed the outcomes of the recent learning expedition and discussed further development of capacity-building and mentoring guidelines.
SME Engagement and Project Ideas (WP3)
The partners addressed the next round of Expressions of Interest (EoI), reviewed the portfolio of SME pilot projects, and explored synergies between project ideas. Progress on monitoring funding opportunities and validation of the project portfolio was also discussed, including the establishment of an expert group.
Re-Hubs Pilot Cases (WP4)
Significant progress was reported on defining the structure of textile Re-Hub pilots, including preparation of deliverables and validation processes based on expert feedback. Partners also discussed requirements for local pilot sessions and reporting.
Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation (WP5)
The consortium reviewed dissemination activities, identified missing documentation, and discussed upcoming actions, including participation in industry events and preparations for the final conference in Łódź (29 September – 1 October 2026).
Conclusion
The meeting ensured alignment across all work packages and reinforced collaboration among partners, contributing to the effective implementation of TEX-BREIN activities and supporting the transition towards a circular and sustainable textile ecosystem in Europe.
