On 28 April 2026, the TEX-BREIN project successfully organized the webinar
System Demonstrator for a Sustainable Textile System
dedicated to innovative and practical approaches supporting the transition toward circular and resource-efficient textile systems.
The webinar brought together representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), universities, research organizations, R&D institutes, and fashion designers interested in sustainability, circular business models, and the future transformation of the textile sector.
The keynote speaker, Susanne Nejderås, Textile Strategist at Science Park Borås and the University of Borås, Sweden, presented Sweden’s largest industrial textile initiative focused on testing sustainable solutions in real industrial environments. The presentation covered activities implemented across the entire textile value chain, including collection, pre-sorting, reuse, redesign, remanufacturing, and recycling.
Participants gained valuable insights into:
* environmental regulations and sustainability standards,
* circular product design and production processes,
* innovative business models for the textile sector,
* resilient and future-oriented supply chains,
* practical implementation of circular textile systems.
The webinar created an important platform for knowledge exchange, international cooperation, and discussion on the challenges and opportunities related to sustainable transformation in the textile industry.
