Abstract

Sweden is currently undertaking a major national initiative to transition textile flows toward circular and resource-efficient systems. As part of the country’s largest industrial textile project – the System Demonstrator for a Sustainable Textile System – innovative business models and practical solutions are being tested in real industrial environments.

These efforts span the entire value chain, including collection, pre-sorting, reuse, redesign, remanufacturing, and recycling.

Speaker

Susanne Nejderas picture Susanne NejderÃ¥s, Textile Strategist at Science Park BorÃ¥s and the University of BorÃ¥s, Sweden

Susanne Nejderås is responsible for the government assignment Textile & Fashion 2030 and Sweden’s largest textile initiative – the System Demonstrator for a Sustainable Textile System in Reality. She has extensive experience across the textile and fashion industries, including the smart and sustainable segments and cross-industry collaboration (e.g., automotive sector).

Her international experience includes her role as a Vinnova Wallenberg Fellow at Nordic Innovation House in Palo Alto, USA, where she developed expertise in innovative business strategies and product development. She holds an M.Sc. in Textile and Polymeric Materials from Chalmers University of Technology and The Swedish School of Textiles.
